But the plumbers have come in. They arrived about ten minutes before I could make it to the kitchen to wash up, so I have no plates at the moment, since they've ripped out all the plumbing.
And by ripped out...
I rather mean:

Um. Yeah. This is in an effort to find the source of the smell the others keep complaining about, which, okay, has been pretty dreadful four or five times since we moved in. But it's not worth this...

The plumbing and cupboard underneath the sink are gone (note the pipe dripping onto the bared floor now... let's cause some damp instead of removing it, hey guys?), the cupboards and drawers with some of our crockery and cutlery (mine! All of it!) have been removed...

...the oven has been taken out...

Oh look, I found my plates! Getting to them is impossible...

And at the moment the men in question have rather literally downed tools and disappeared.
They've been gone quite a while now. And they vanished well before 12 so I'm not sure if they're on lunch or what...
Meep.

Date: 2009-03-20 07:42 pm (UTC)If tiny lifeforms evolve I shall put them in a jamjar and keep them safe! And upgrade them to a fishtank when they reach the confines of their glass walls. And I shall endeavour to communicate with them, since my handwriting can be ridiculously tiny and I'm sure we can work out some form of language between us. It will be the beginning of a beautiful, harmonious relationship. (:

I don't even think of the flat like that! Is just talking to you I instantly slip back to being at the weekend. ^_^' (:

(>wwwwO Bwaaaaaah)
I DO XD obviously we're just meant to exist in our own tinsy tiny DW/TW pocket of reality. I'm sure there's technobabbley way to explain it. ^__~
(no subject)
Date: 2009-03-22 06:50 pm (UTC)*looks fearful* They could turn on me! You're right. I should take precautions. Keep bleach handy at all times... (Though, you know, if there's somethin' strange in my neighbourhood, I can always call RANDY!)
Yay for pocket realities! I can be packed and ready to move in within 24 hours. It's all so much more fun in there anyway... Though I'll need to work on suitable technobabble. XD

Date: 2009-03-22 06:58 pm (UTC)May I suggest a fly swatter? *ebul* (Oh, come on, why call them? I mean you'd only end up with Rhys and Andy breaking down your door and-- hold on. Gotta go release a few dozen nasty little alien critters into my kitchen and call RANDY XD Need to put those dudes on speed dial. <<)
I dunno, it's a bit small to actually move into... I like to keep my pocket reality in my closet...and a spare in my pocket just in case. Usually only get to whip it out and play around in it at cons *saaad*

Date: 2009-03-22 07:11 pm (UTC)(I'd just want to see them try and deal with the teeny tiny alien threat. For some reason I'm seeing lots of pratfalls and ineffectual running around... Though speed dial is a good plan. Ready in any situation!)

Date: 2009-03-22 07:18 pm (UTC)(AND an epic chase scene with lots of sight-gags, Yup, gotta put them right under Torchwood... because who DOESN'T want to call at one in the morning and ask Ianto if the fridge is running. >D )
(no subject)
Date: 2009-03-25 06:29 pm (UTC)(Yes please! I want that chase now. ... Though I also now have a mental image of Ianto going to check on the fridge, and nodding to himself when he sees the chains are all still in place, and its little legs may be scrabbling at the floor but it ain't goin' nowhere... ^_^' Aheh.)

Date: 2009-03-22 07:13 pm (UTC)*pats pockets* Loose change, random pieces of paper, student card... I seem to have misplaced mine. Oh, and I suppose them being smaller does make them more portable, though con-only fun is rather restricted. We need more opportunities for random universe-hopping!

Date: 2009-03-22 07:22 pm (UTC)Meeh, I'm sure we can share... though mine might have some cookie crumbs and jellybabies stuck on. ^^'' Hmm, true, all the more reason to try to 'help' the fun!verse bleed out into rl more. I'm sooo there *as long as we don't break anything <<* love the hopping.

Date: 2009-03-25 07:04 pm (UTC)(: Sharing is fun. Always more fun exploring if you have someone with you to point and squee at new stuff. (Also, yay jellybabies. I'm getting quite fond of them. ^_^)
All that hopping... (*does best not to fall onto nearby china*)

Best of luck with all of this! It's too bad they couldn't have done this whilst you were at something pleasant, like a Torchwood convention.

Don't worry, they won't leave their tools. They probably needed supplies/parts and grabbed lunch while they were out.

Date: 2009-03-20 08:38 pm (UTC)Wow. Thats one hell of a mess!
And I was mildly put out when I returned to find that my landlord had randomly chosen that day to repaint the kitchen and thus everything was moved about and the place stunk of fumes. At least I could still USE it.
