US Election

I think just about everyone I know who could vote today was voting Obama.

This is the first time, I think, I've really been old enough to understand what's going on and take sides... Subsequently, I'm watching the votes trickle in via the BBC News coverage (thanks for the link, [livejournal.com profile] bellasianna!)... (And I have a map of the states open so I can match names to places, because my grasp of American geography is pretty darn bad.)

Hm. This is an odd situation.

But still kinda tense...

I'm getting the hang of it, I think. At the moment nothing's really finalised, but there are lots of predictions flying around, and those predictions are putting Obama in the lead, even though votes haven't been counted yet.

Actual confirmation of a winner will only come through when all the votes have actually been counted properly, right?
