As the title says.

I actually *facepalm*ed about five times.

It wasn't quite as blatantly rippy-offy of Torchwood and Doctor Who as I'd expected. They threw some Stargate in too.

But... so much of it... I just sat there going, "Y'wha? Oke, you stoopid, archaeology man."

Ahem. Though it amused me that Cutter's skeleton-identifying skills are better than Owen's. Excuse me while I go snigger about that somewhere.

But I wasn't mightily impressed. Could have been better, could have been worse. I'll probably watch the next episode and see if it now trips itself up utterly and falls flat on its plagiarising little face.

Ooh, that was a bit harsh. Maybe.

Had to wiki it due to my hermit state, but it does look a bit like a cashy-inny bandwagon rodeo. XD Let me know how it turns out.

Shall do. ^_^ The basic premise (a rift in space-time in the middle of a city, dumping monsters (dinosaurs) randomnly into modern times? Doesn't sound remotely familiar, huh?) has to be a rip-off. But they have tried to be slightly different.

Although they've gone to Jurassic Park instead. *rolls eyes*

I think it's kinda fun! Although saying that I did expect it to be totally rip-off-y so I'm really saying it's not as bad as i feared!
It is rip-offy though! (*facepalm*ed when Monster came on!)

I'm looking forward to seeing next week, see if it claims its own nice.

Wasn't Rex cute though :) ?

It was a little better than I expected. :) And if it can settle down and be sensible, and not have Hunter-man bashing dinosaurs with a jeep and jumping out unscathed every week, it might be reasonably okay.

I'll watch it for a bit and see how it goes. And Rex was kinda cute...

I read an article today that sang its praises, going so far as to say it was better then Dr. Who, especially in the monsters. And to be fair they are. Though to be even fairer they are based on *actual* dinosaurs as designed by [insert deity here] while Dr Who is just pulling monsters out of the air.

Mind you, this same article was praising the Prof. I was wondering if I'd seen the same programme.

Nyeh. That and that it was a pilot episode. Whereas Who seem to go for costumes as much as possible and save up the budget for the CGI in the final two episodes. :D

It's still... if not entirely unoriginal, at least derivative.
