laliginI'm a little freaked out by the sudden attack of Torchwood fics. Not that I mind overmuch, don't get me wrong - it's lovely to be hit by ideas and write them up and get a response all in the same day, and some of the fics up so far have been absolute joys to work on, but I'm sure I had a life somewhere. I can't remember where I put it...
I have stuff to do. Like accept offers from universities, and do some homework, and things like this. But... tsai. There goes another weekend.
On the up-side, I practiced singing "Sweet Dreams" with the backing track my uncle provided for me (his wife was part of a band and sang it...) and I think I've got all the timing down alright. It's just the actual singing that's the problem now.
Because tomorrow, dear readers, I take my life into my own hands and go to audition for our in-school "Stars in Their Eyes" bit, which isn't so much a "do-an-impression-of-a-singer" concert as it is a "sing-a-random-song-you-like" concert.
But still. Concert. Possibly on two nights. Performing. In front of people I know. Oh, why am I even auditioning?!
Ha. I haven't even got a place yet. They might turn me down.
You know, that sounds really familiar from somewhere. Could it be... Cambridge? Oh yeah. And they didn't have the decency to refuse me a place. *sigh*
Still, had some nice compliments from people about my fics today. *waves at reviewers* Makes me feel a whole lot more confident about the "I'm-going-to-do-Imaginative-Writing-at-LJMU" idea.
Though nobody said anything about my possibly very dodgy first aid and attempted revival techniques in Jack's Sleep. And nobody got the anagram in Jack's Top Tips. Which amuses me greatly.

Kind of disappointed I'll be missing the Cyberwoman repeat tonight, but Shadowbyrd said she'd lend me the tape she made of the first four episodes. Mum's been jumping around saying, "Oh, just buy the DVDs!" but I want the full box set, not bits and pieces. Then I can take the whole thing with me to LJMU in September in one box rather than three. 'Cause at the rate all this is going, I'll be just as nutty on it then as now. Possibly more so. After all, the next season will start shortly after that...
Reminds me. Must get a portable TV with inbuilt VCR/DVD player. And make sure the laptop's wireless connection bit works properly, so I can rewatch season two online.
How sad is that? I haven't planned accomodation or diet or transport anything remotely sensible like that for uni, but I've got the whole Torchwood-watching regime planned out to the finest detail. Down to the posters I'll be sticking on my bedroom door when it's on. Like "Unless you're John Barrowman or Gareth David-Lloyd, I'm busy!"
