laliginLali revised to begin with. There is no doubt whatever about that. There is no doubt that Lali revised. This must be distinctly understood, or nothing terrible can come of the story I am going to relate.
That (with credit to Dickens' A Christmas Carol) could just as easily be, "Lali was a Maths genius to begin with..." or "Lali was expecting straight As to begin with..." and be fairly true.
I had my Maths Pure Core Three exam today. They say it's the hardest of the A level Maths papers. Now you must understand that this is me we're talking about. I was accepted by Cambridge university the other week. I get an A in any subject and everyone goes, "Well, of course." But whatever. Today. Maths exam.
To redo another famous quote:
Reader, I failed it.
And no, I'm not kidding. If I'm lucky I scraped a D.
My teachers are going to kill me. My relatives are going to stare in disbelief. My friends are going to laugh and think I'm joking until I tell them quietly that I added up the marks, and I'm sure - oh no, wait, they already did that.
Sometimes I hate being me.

Date: 2007-01-19 01:03 pm (UTC)I don't understand why you're certain you failed it though. Elaborate please? If it was just difficult it's not worth worrying about. The grading curve'll ride to the rescue, likely as not.

There were questions I didn't even attempt, questions I didn't finish, questions I *know* aren't right because I did them twice and got two different answers, neither of which made sense in relation to the question...
*shrug*
From what I *know* I got, though, I should still be able to get an A overall, as long as I get three quarters or so of Core 4 right. Which should be easier...
