Ianto was fairly sure something was up when he woke up at two in the morning to find Jack bugging his suit jacket.
“Jack, what are you doing?” he asked, trying not to sound too amused, and watched Jack jump, then hastily fold up the jacket to put it over the back of the chair nearby, pretending he hadn’t been up to anything remotely nefarious.
“You should go back to sleep,” Jack told him, failing in his attempts to look seductive when he added, “Unless you can think of anything better to do?”
Ianto yawned, and shook his head, muttering, “’Fraid not. Sleep is good,” and lay back down again. He distinctly heard Jack breathe a sigh of relief, and waited patiently for him to pick up the jacket again before he said, “Off the top of my head, I can give you two good reasons why you should already know I’m not sleeping with anybody else. One, I haven’t got the time, and two, you’d probably smell it.”
There was the sound of a jacket hitting the floor, and he glanced up again to see Jack looking extremely sheepish.
“Oh,” he added, settling back down again, “and it would probably work better if you bugged my phone, anyway. I don’t wear the suit when I’m out on the pull.”
