This was one of the first stories I read in this fandom (long long ago), and I didn't know at the time how important it is to leave comments, because I always feel like a "me too". I never feel like I have anything useful to say - but, *Thank you* for writing this, it really made me feel very strongly right along the way. It's very well written, and there were so many little places that really pulled at my heart-strings. Others have called some out, but - the hug for Jack, Dai, Jack being so worried for and gentle with Ianto, that Jack left the Doctor for Ianto and loves him...just beautiful. Thank you for writing this, and for posting it to share with us.
