Working on many things...

I need a hand. So far I've tried Proboards and Invisionfree, and neither is quite right, unfortunately.

Basically, I want to create a messageboard forum where I can backdate the posts, like you can with LJ posts.

It has to be free, idiot-proof, free, customisable, free, and like I say, allow backdating.

Also, I can't use an LJ community, because that would require me creating far, far too many new LJ accounts (it'll all make sense if I get this thing done, I promise), and I don't know that you can edit the date/time stamp on comments, and I need threads, not just posts.

Any ideas?

I'm unaware of any forum/board software that allows backdating. (It's not making sense now.)

Perhaps you should up your medication?

Humph. Dang. It won't really work without the backdating. Shame. It was a good idea, too.

But I grew out of my asthma! I don't *need* any medication anymore, honest...

Why does it need backdating? There may be a package out there but my Google skillz currently say, "no" to that question.

Really? I didn't mean medication for physical ailments. ;)

Hm. *cue quiet voice* It's to tie in with a fic. I want to set up a whole website with fictional activity from 2005 onwards. And I really, really want the dates to be accurate so you can search through for relevant stuff and things tie in properly. ):

Ah. Now, there you may have an idea. Especially since I seem to keep being hit by fits of screaming hysterics. But that may just be the collapse of everything I was counting on...

Oh, I see. That sounds difficult.

That's what I meant. ;)
