Right, because I'm far too tempted, this is opening up much quicker than I'd planned. :D Thanks go to those who gave me prompts (and if you want to add some, do feel free - it's never too late).

Right. Here's how this works.

Here are Thirty Flavours of Torchwood.

You pick a prompt. Then, for that prompt, you pick any member of the Torchwood Team (past or present) or any such combination you please, add an extra condition or two if you want, and I write it for you in the comments.

The idea is that I write a drabble-size piece, but they may start at 100 words and head off into the sunset... And I will put the whole set in one post when they're done, for neatness' sake. :)

Crossovers are allowed, I suppose, but I'm not too well aware of many other fandoms (not even Buffy) so be cautious...

Actually, I always put it down to Ianto having Things He's Responsible For and that those color his world view even in the midst of the hub collapsing:

Ianto is responsible for coffee procurement.
Ianto is responsible for the care and feeding of Myfanwy.
Ianto is responsible for the care and feeding of Captain Jack Harkness.
Ianto is responsible for making sure Jack has his coat when he wants it.
...etc.

Yawns

Gwen yawned, trying to keep it subtle by clenching her teeth together tightly and pretending to rest her chin on her hand (instead desperately trying to keep her mouth shut). The first time, it worked.

The second time, Jack caught her eye, just about hiding a smirk. She gritted her teeth and tried not to blush, fighting to concentrate on whatever Owen was busy telling them about his latest series of experiments with an alien device that replicated certain cell tissues.

The third time, Owen stopped, and snapped, “Am I boring you?”

“Sorry,” Gwen said, avoiding his eyes and gratefully accepting the coffee mug Ianto offered her. “I was up late last night.”

Jack sat back, smiling, and said nothing.

Well Trained

Ianto woke up to find Jack kneeling over him, looking concerned.

“What happened?” he muttered, after a few seconds’ pause, in which he managed to work out that he was lying on the bathroom floor.

“You fainted,” Jack told him, pulling him into a sitting position and then picking him up and carrying him back through to the bedroom, while the walls spun and Ianto closed his eyes again with a groan.

He was vaguely aware of Jack gently putting him back to bed and tucking the covers around him, muttering, “Scared me half to death. Think you can go wandering around when you haven’t eaten in days? You know you’re too weak at the moment.”

Ianto mumbled vaguely, “’ll get better soon,” and Jack sighed in exasperation.

“Not unless you do as Owen tells you,” he said, neatening the sheets absentmindedly, and then spoiling it all by sitting down beside Ianto.

“He found a cure yet?” Ianto asked, yawning.

Jack smiled, even though Ianto still had his eyes closed, and said softly, “Almost. He’s testing one at the moment, and it’s looking good. We’ll have you back at work in no time. You just have to keep your strength up for now, so eat something.”

Ianto shook his head weakly, muttering, “Can’t,” and half opened his eyes when Jack’s phone went off.

“Dammit,” Jack snapped, answering abruptly and snarling, “What, Gwen?”

Ianto could hear the shrieks and bangs quite clearly, smiling faintly at what sounded suspiciously like a wail of, “Six heads and all hungry!” from Gwen.

Jack glanced at him, and he waved one languid hand, saying, “Go on. Go save their sorry arses.”

“Be right there,” Jack told Gwen, then hung up and sighed, “Domestic never lasts long with us, does it?”

Ianto smiled again, and Jack leaned over to kiss his forehead, murmuring, “Sleep, eat, and for pity’s sake drink something, alright? I’ll bring Owen’s cure back with me if I can.”

“Don’t be long,” Ianto told him, and Jack, already getting up, promised, “I won’t.”

He left in a hurry, grabbing his coat, and Ianto turned his head to look at the bedside table. There was a glass of water, a plate of rich tea biscuits, and a bowl of grapes. He smiled.

Domestic wasn’t that bad. And if he trained Jack to do the washing up when he got better, it could be perfect.
