Loved this! I have invented many and varied ways of getting around this (of varying plausibility), but I think I may also adopt yours as my personal canon. I may have to pimp this fic.

(Oh, and while I loved the idea, I should also mention my love is also for the fic itself - well-written and in characters, and I love the idea of the Face of Boe with a dirty sense of humour.)
